Basic Allowance For Housing (BAH)
Your BAH will be used in one of two ways. You can either rent on base or you can live off base. If you live off base, you can either rent or buy. Click Here for current BAH rates.
On Base Housing ( Rent On-Base )
You can contact the housing office at 575-479-1175. Please keep in mind that there is a process involved in renting on Base housing to include wait times.

Holliman is a United States Air Force Base that has been a base for training for many years. Holloman Air Force Base is home to the longest high speed test track with over 50,000 feet. The track still stands as the land speed record holder since 2003. Units stationed at the base include the 455th Bombardment Group and the 301st Bombardment Group. If you arrive in the area by car, Holloman Air Force Base is accessible on Highway 70 which has large signs leading the way to the main entrance. Holloman Air Force Base is located near Alamogordo, New Mexico. The nearest commercial airport is in Alamogordo, and the main airline is Mesa. Holloman Air Force Base is also home to the 49th Wing which trains United States Air Force crews in F-22A and T-38A aircraft to deploy worldwide.
On-post housing has been privatized at Holloman Air Force Base. Currently over 1,400 family units are available in the Soaring Heights neighborhood. Contact the Housing Assistance Section for lists of the single-family homes for rent, homes for sale, and apartment complexes in the nearby communities of Tularosa, Alamogordo, and Las Cruces. Nearby White Sands Missile Range also offers housing to Holloman Air Force Base if needed. Advanced housing applications can be obtained through the Housing Referral Office. Single military personnel will be provided with one of over 900 dorm spaces depending on rank. Be sure and bring your PCS orders when checking in at the housing facility. Many German troops are trained at Holloman Air Force Base due to its proximity to the Air Force Defense Center in Fort Bliss, Texas. The German Air Force has taken advantage of the training facilities many times over the years.
